Multiple gables adorn this hillside walkout house plan and cedar shakes and timber details serve as rustic accents. An island kitchen is open to the great room and shares a cathedral ceiling with the dining room. A walk-in pantry is nearby and an oversized utility room is multi-functional. The master suite and study complete the first floor while two bedrooms, a full bath, and rec room are downstairs.

This site will not publish my email address so please text/call me at 270-519-5168. We live in Mayfield so the building site is pretty close!!! We may hit Pattis while we are over that way!

Is it possible for the vaulted ceilings in the living room run the other way, so the fireplace wall is the highest peak?
I’d also love more pictures of this home. It’s our top contender for next years build, and I have been watching for new pictures to be posted!

Hi Olivia! Yes, you should be able to modify the ceiling in the great room. Give us a call if you have questions about modifying a plan – 1-800-388-7580.

Hopefully we will have more photos of this project from the homeowner soon!

How are you insulating the ceiling/attic?
Particularly the area where the LR cathedral meets the kitchen cathedral.
If spraying the underside of the roof deck, will you have an unvented attic space?
Thanks. I am building the same plan as a DIY homeowner.

We are using open cell spray foam insulation and the attic will be conditioned. You are correct, we will not have any roof vents. If you will send me your email, I can send you pictures of our attic area.

Hi Jody – thanks for offering to share pictures of the attic insulation. That detail between the kitchen and living room has me worried about how to insulate there.

        Thanks, Bill

We are considering building this plan vs the Wesley. Would love to see it in person if possible. What is the best way to view the progress. We live in South Carolina.

Hi Vickie, we are not involved in the building process so unfortunately we do not have homes that you can view in person. All of the homes featured in our Rendering-to-Reality series are photographed by the homeowner or builder and sent to us so we can share the process on our blog. Let us know if you have specific questions about either design. We are happy to help! 1-800-388-7580 or [email protected].

Kim, This is our second Don Gardner home and I completely understand wanting to see it in person. If you will send me your email address we would love to take you on a tour. Currently finishing sheetrock and waiting for the weather to improve for exterior.
