Unique, Craftsman exterior

Arched garage doors and a metal accent roof are just two of the thoughtful exterior details that lend curb appeal to the Silvergate. The angled courtyard garage is inviting, while a mix of shingle siding and stone add texture and curb appeal.

The details continue inside

The main level includes a great room and bedroom/study with coffered ceiling details along with an open kitchen and dining room arrangement that simplifies entertaining. The master bedroom features twin walk-in closets and a bay window that serves as a peaceful sitting area. Outdoor living space is abundant, with a screen porch off the dining room and an oversized, skylit covered porch on the rear.

Lower level living

Downstairs is a cozy rec room and two more bedrooms, one with a private bath. A covered porch leads to a patio that is perfect for a pool or lakefront setting. The unfinished mechanical/storage area can easily be converted to a home theater, exercise area, or for any purpose you desire.

Spacious bonus room

Dormers and skylights brighten the bonus room over the garage, which provides an additional 509 square feet of flexible space not counted in the total living space of this plan.

The Whitcomb Plan #1218-D is a hillside walkout plan with a traditional brick and siding exterior. Read more about this featured plan:

Plan of the Week: The Whitcomb #1218-D

Traditional exterior with lots of character

Thoughtful details abound in this traditionally styled hillside walkout plan. From low-maintenance brick and siding, to the double columns and gabled roof, the Whitcomb is a neighborhood charmer.

On the main level, a barrel-vaulted ceiling welcomes guests to the foyer with style. The kitchen, great room, and dining room flow together while still maintaining definition thanks to varied ceiling heights and the judicious use of columns.

The kitchen island is the perfect place for prep-work, quick meals, and conversation. Nearby, a large pantry and utility room are situated by the garage entry.

Relaxing master suite

The master suite is located on the main level for convenience, and features a bayed sitting area facing rear views. Just a step away is the sprawling rear deck for enjoying morning coffee and warm evenings. His-and-hers closets and an efficiently designed bathroom complete this private retreat.

Designed for sloping lots

This hillside walkout home plan is well-suited for sloping lots, making it an ideal lakefront, mountain, or golf course home. A deck spans the rear of the main floor and leads to a screened porch with outdoor kitchen. The lower level is wrapped with patio space and a spa area. Downstairs is a rec room and two more bedrooms, each with a walk in closet. An expansive unfinished storage area is an added bonus.
