What To Consider When Planning The Garage In Your Dream Home
The Rangemoss #1211
As you make plans to build your dream home, you will spend countless hours planning every little detail.
From the color of the walls to the position of the counters in your kitchen, each aspect is painstakingly chosen to ensure that the finished product — your home — is exactly what you want. Yet many people who are building a new home will focus so much on the living space that they forget about one important feature: the garage. Here are some considerations to make when you are planning the garage for your dream home design.
In terms of boosting curb appeal, creating a strong first impression, and increasing overall property value, you can’t beat a portico entry.
The Carrera #1178
A front door portico is the kind of feature that makes for a stunning entrance, while also setting the stage for beauty to continue inside. It also offers some shelter for you or guests when you’re stepping inside from the rain or snow. Once added to a home, a portico can incorporate benches, plants, mats and more, all showcasing your personal style.
New Home Plan – The Primrose 1316 is a charming Craftsman design with a modest floor plan.
This compact Craftsman home plan is economical to build with its uncomplicated footprint and lowered roof-line. Interesting angles are mirrored in the kitchen bar and dining room columns, tying the living spaces together in the open floor plan. A cathedral ceiling runs from the great room to the over-sized screen porch creating a feeling of spaciousness, and the mud and utility rooms at the garage entrance provide storage and organization space unseen from the common areas.
