Craftsman Home Plan #1318 – The Keaton

Outdoor Living and Luxurious Extras with Craftsman Appeal

#1318 - The Keaton- Is Now Available!

Home Design Quick Facts:

  • An angled layout expands rear views
  • Huge island kitchen with walk-in pantry
  • Unique master suite with sitting area

This luxurious Craftsman home plan is both family-friendly and perfect for entertaining, with a rustic exterior that is at home in the mountains or the suburbs. At just over a modest 2500 sq. ft., this angled floor plan is completely open through the great room, kitchen, and dining room, with abundant windows and doors bringing in rear views. The secondary bedrooms each have porch access and share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, while the splendid master suite features a massive walk-in closet and a circular, windowed sitting room.

Indoor and Outdoor Entertaining

For homeowners who love to entertain, the island kitchen is the heart of this design. An extended peninsula provides room for guests to pull up a chair, and allows conversation to flow freely throughout the great room and dining room. The single dining room is topped with a cathedral ceiling and has a casual feel, but is large enough for formal meals. An angled covered porch extends across the entire rear of the plan, ending in a cozy screened porch with skylights, a fireplace, and outdoor kitchen. The curved patio extends living even further and welcomes the addition of a pool or spa.

Ultimate Utility Spaces Make Life Easy

Separate mud and utility rooms help keep things organized. The mudroom has its own outdoor access and is the first stop from the two-car garage. It’s the perfect place to drop bags, keys, and muddy shoes. The utility room is its own space with cabinets and countertops, providing storage and keeping hallways clear. With garage storage areas, handy linen closets and a roomy pantry, keeping everything in its place is easy.

Relaxing, inviting, and practical, The Keaton is home. See this house design now.

House Plans on the Drawing Board - Plan #1349

House Plans on the Drawing Board is pleased to present this hillside walkout design that was originally derived from the Newcastle Plan #994 and our Conceptual Design #1342.  The bedroom and bathroom have been relocated to the lower level, along with an added family room/theater. The second floor and bonus room have been eliminated, while unfinished space on the lower level provides storage and a place for HVAC. On the main floor, the kitchen features an angled peninsula with bar seating, and the single dining area has high windows, making room for a buffet cabinet. Sun tunnels bring light into interior spaces, and outdoor entertaining is easy with covered and screen porches in the rear.
