Craftsman cottage for sloping lots

Stone, siding, and a metal porch roof create low maintenance curb appeal for this Craftsman home. Wide open living areas and ample storage and utility space combine for a plan that is appealing and efficient, while porches and patios take living outdoors. The master bedroom has views on three sides, access to the covered porch, and dual walk-in closets.

Walkout basement with finished & unfinished space.

A bedroom with bath, rec room, and tons of unfinished storage complete the lower level. A perfect guest suite or living area for a grown child. With a bonus room over the garage, the Brodie has plenty of flexible space.

Wow. This plan is great. Would it be possible to have a ‘courtyard style garage’ visual? I would need it reversed with garage on the left? Also, it would be great to see a visual of the front (lake side).

I love, love this layout from the big openness, no formal dining, to the outside back porches!!! There is only one thing that I do not like and that is not having the laundry by the master. It’s the only place my husband and I have dirty laundry. Do you have any very similar plans that would have the laundry at the master?

Hi Pam! I’ve looked through our hillside walkout home plans, and unfortunately they all have the master suite on the opposite side of the home from the utility room. That’s definitely something we are looking at for future home plans. Our designers can help you with this modification, though! Just submit our online modification request form and they can discuss the best options for moving the utility room near the master bedroom. Let our customer service team know if you have any questions about this process – 1-800-388-7580 or [email protected].

Love this plan. I would pull the back porch out so that you could put French doors in the master and I would switch the stove and sink. Put a panoramic window in front on the sink and have the stove in the island. Perfection! For me at least.

Hi Landi, yes! You can always add square footage through our modification process. And some of the “unfinished basement” space could be used for additional bedrooms and a bath. Our design team would be happy to help you with this or you can have a local designer modify the plan.

I absolutely love this floor plan and would not change a thing!
We are currently looking for a home to build and would love to have this one. Unfortunately it’s a little to big for my purse. Do you have any other plans similar to this one but more around the 1,700 sq ft

To me this is the perfect floor plan! Open layout, big kitchen, perfect size. I love what it does not have, formal dining, formal living or office. Rooms we really don’t need anymore. The his and her closet is great as well. I guess the only change I would make is having a big walk in shower in the master in place of the tub. I know that is a personal preference. This is the perfect house for entertaining.

The open layout of this is perfection! I would love to see this with 11′ ceilings on main, large master dressing room/closet with island, add another kitchen pantry for dish storage, wine cooler etc , casual dining space adjacent to the kitchen. Double sided fireplace between living dining spaces would be perfect. Custom luxury on a smaller scale/footprint is hard to find but exactly what I’m looking for.

Do you have any additional information on the Brodie #1340-D?

Specifically, what is the square footage (of each floor) and what are the overall dimensions ?

Also, are there any pictures of the exterior elevations and any real-life interior photos?
