Leave us your feedback and suggestions at the bottom of this post!

Conceptual Design #1422 follows the same thoughtful floor plan as The Cassady house plan #1132, but with an updated exterior. Decorative gables take the place of front-facing dormers and arches frame the front porch.

The master suite is designed to pamper with a walk-in closet, twin vanities, a walk-in shower and garden tub. The window-bay breakfast room of this house plan flows into the kitchen and great room, creating a seamless transition from one room to another. Accessing a spacious rear porch through French doors, the great room includes a fireplace and a cathedral ceiling that adds volume.

The dining space is defined by a tray ceiling plus accent column and is the perfect gathering space for family meals. Two additional bedrooms share a full bath with linen closet.  Additional closet space is also abundant in the bedrooms and hallways.

A storage closet inside the two car garage creates the perfect place for lawnmowers, bikes and toys,.

I would make the the laundry room in the back 11X11 bedroom. The dining room would be the study. And the master would now be larger. Make the garage a three car.

I love this plan! Wonderful front elevation and floor plan . When you finish the bonus room it is approx 2100 sq ft which is just what I’m looking for.The only things I would modify is to make the master bigger, maybe 14/19 and make a his and her closet by shrinking down the laundry? Also make the bonus room into a bedroom with bath and closet. Also I would like a basement option? I Am closing on my lot in May and would like to start building as soon as possible after. You can count me in as soon as this beauty is ready! Please contact me with updates. Thank you

Really like this plan but would like to increase the sq ft to closer to 2000 sq ft. Is it possible to make the kitchen wider and the breakfast room bigger to accommodate a built in hutch and larger farmhouse table? Would also like to increase the width of the foyer for a double front door and add a coat closet. (Would like to close off dining room to use for an office) Need basement stairs as well. Are these changes possible? Thank you!!

I like this plan a lot! After looking at soooo many I finally found this one and it has everything with a couple minor exceptions. A few additions and it will be perfect. Perhaps adding a closet to the foyer and fitting in a pantry. We are expecting to start building within a year. When will this plan be available for purchase?

I love this plan! Few small changes would make it perfect: closet front entry, two piece bath near garage and locker style storage, pantry in kitchen and visually I prefer a symmetrical living room meaning no hallway off to one side. Love the size for sure!! Glad to see more plans under 2000 sft. Of course white farmhouse exterior! We are building next year , looking for 2000 sft and under modern farmhouse.

I love this plan!! It’s hard to find a great house plan between 1500-1700 sq ft with an appealing exterior. Everyone I know is looking to downsize so please don’t increase the square footage, there are plenty of plans for those who are looking for more space.

I love this plan, I have been looking for one that has a porch in front and back with about this square footage. It would be perfect for me if it had his and her walk in closets, a coat closet by the front door and a walk in pantry for the kitchen, even if it meant increasing the square footage a little bit.

This is a really nice plan! I would like to have just a little more square footage, a larger living area/kitchen, pantry or mud room, and definitely a hall closet. 1700-1800 square feet would be nice. Also, is there a basement option? We are looking to build in the next couple of months, is there an estimated time frame for this plan’s availability. Thanks!

Hi Heather, we’ve just released this design as a conceptual plan to get feedback at this time. If a lot a people show interest, it may get added to our design schedule and eventually added to our portfolio. If the design is finalized, we will offer a basement option as well as the ability to modify with a walkout basement. If you are interested in purchasing this design, contact our customer service team to get an estimated completion date – 1-800-388-7580.

Since your looking to build soon, a better option may be to modify The Cassady #1132.

I love this plan. I just wish there was a large coat closet in the foyer. I also would like to see a walk in pantry. I like coming in from the garage and your not walking thur a laundry room. I like a laundry room to be separated from the entrée way. Just I like to hang my clothes to dry and I like to be able to have a place to separate clothes before washing without being in the way of some one coming in from the garage. I like that both the front and back porches are cover. I need a small home around 1700 sq ft living. I like a nice kitchen with storage and counter space for cooking for marry children and grandkids. Need a small house with large kitchen, separate laundry room, pantry, coat closest, a lot of storage. and covered porches for grandparents to watch kids play. This is a nice home just wish it had a coat closet and a pantry.

Love this floor plan and the updated exterior! Could more square footage be added? We are looking for a plan that’s about 2000 to 2250 sq. ft.

This just may be what I’m looking for. Wish it had a walk-in pantry. I also do not want the porch on front. I love French style. Could I change the front to look more French?

  12. Ashley PL on

I love it! It’s a thoughtful, well laid out small plan. I like that the laundry room is right near the master bedroom. The only thing that sticks out to me is the small “hall” in the master bedroom, seperating the bathroom and closet. It seems like wasted space. If I were building this home for myself, I would incorporate that space into the bathroom, and just have the entrance to the closet in the bathroom.
