This two-story design is made for a narrow lot with its modest width and front entry garage. The siding facade is accented with board-and-batten and a metal roof. Inside, the floor plan is welcoming with a fireplace in the great room and a spacious kitchen with an island. Conceptual house plan 1501 is a two-story design that works well on a narrow lot. The front-entry garage features a dormer and the gable peaks are accented by vertical boards. A simple siding exterior is complemented by a metal accent roof over the front porch.

The garage opens to a mud room with a drop zone for bags and shoes and the adjacent utility room features built-in cabinetry. The foyer can easily access the mud room but a pocket door keeps messes concealed. A powder room and coat closet are convenient for guests and built-in shelves are perfect for books or decor. The great room enjoys a vaulted ceiling with a clerestory window to brighten the space. A fireplace adds warmth and two doors open to a rear porch.

The kitchen is chef-inspired with a large center island with prep sink and abundant perimeter counters. A window over the sink looks out to rear views. The kitchen opens to a single dining space and flanking the entry is a storage pantry and a butler’s pantry. The master bedroom features a decorative ceiling treatment and pocket doors grant entry to the luxurious master bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and an over-sized walk-in closet. The master closet connects to the utility room and a large storage nook in the garage offers space for storing outdoor equipment or a workstation for completing projects.

Upstairs, find two spacious bedrooms and a full bathroom with a double sink vanity and a private shower room. An option bonus room provides space for a gym, home theater, or play room.

Hi Chris, this is a conceptual design but any plan that is added to our portfolio will have the option of a basement foundation. When we receive an order for a plan with an alternate basement foundation, we will make changes to the first floor to add the basement stairs.

Hi Wendy! The Applecross house plan 1501 is still a “Design in Progress” but you can go ahead and place an order for it with a basement foundation and we can move it ahead on our design schedule. Our standard basement option is a full in-ground basement and is unfinished. If you would like a finished or walkout basement, you can submit a modification request.

You can order on our website or give us a call at 1-800-388-7580. Please let us know if you have any questions about this process!

Love this one! Only change I would make (and this is just due to my own needs) would be to push the laundry room into the garage storage closet. I want a window in the laundry room and need additional pet space. Otherwise, it’s perfect.
