In terms of value, the construction industry is one of the leading sectors in the financial market. Like most sectors, construction was greatly affected in 2020 due to the advent of the COVID 19 pandemic. Still, a lot of new trends in construction have emerged amidst these turbulent times. Below are some of the eye-catching home construction trends that you need to look out for in 2021:

Bathrooms are the most utilized rooms in your home and yet are often under-designed. In 2021, there is an ongoing revolution in bathroom and home design. One such trend is the open shower concept. This trend is instigated by the growing need for space in the bathroom. Open showers began as a necessity for homeowners with small bathrooms but have since become a popular trend in even the most luxurious bathrooms. To achieve the minimalist look, consider eliminating the bathtub and opting for a large, open shower instead. You may also want to consider upgrading your shower fixtures for a fresh new look.

This house plan was designed by a member of our architecture team for their own personal home. When it came time to give it a name, it only seemed fitting to name the plan for their family – The Rogers!

The Rogers is a small modern farmhouse designed for family living. A vaulted ceiling visually expands the great room, and the dining room is spacious and open for gatherings. The drop zone has a built-in seat and enjoys a sun tunnel, and a powder room is available for guests. The kitchen features an island and barn doors open to a pantry and utility room. Just steps away, a door leads to the rear porch and patio. Two bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet, share a bathroom with a dual sink vanity.
