LOVE this plan. I am really fond of good storage spaces and entertaining. I would love to see the dining include a buffet along the bedroom wall and in so doing move the bedroom wall and the pantry wall, eliminating the e-space and making a large pantry/food storage room. I would love to see the garage widened to allow a storage space all along the study wall and moving the entry door to align with the enlarge storage room. I also agree a man-door to the garage would be nice. Adding a prep sink to the island makes it handy for the stove prep. Is the wall between the walk-in and bathroom access in the study wide enough to fit a murphy bed? (full/queen). The master toilet is a little far away from the bedroom so I’d like to see it switched with the walk-in closet on the outer wall.

Hi, is there a model home for this house plan? I saw the pictures but would LOVE to walk in it before we build this house. We love this floor plan so much. Thanks

Love the plan. Would like entry into utility from garage and windows in utility replacing the door. Also on the Screen Porch the fireplace moved in order to see golf course in back of house. Not sure how to re-design back. Interested in having nice size covered porch and eliminate patio so all outside is covered. Was wanting to have a nice size porch with small refrigerator/sink/faucet for entertaining. Might even eliminate screened porch and have fireplace on patio. A little unsure in this area. Would like to have floors and entry into the house from garage house handicap accessible. Also going out to patio. Interested in 3 foot doors in bedrooms. On the mud room would like this to be a little office but how would I separate it from utility room. This might be too many changes.

Finally! After years of looking, I have finally found the perfect house plan. There is not a single alteration I would make to this one. You’ve even included the solar tubes. Perfection!

      Hi Crystal,
We don’t know of any completed builds yet since it’s such a new design, but we’re following one builder’s progress on our Facebook page! North Point Custom Builders is building the Travis plan now in NC, and we’re sharing their photos as they post them. Follow our Facebook page for updates, and we’ll add finished photos to our website once they’re available.

        Hi Crystal,

I’m sorry for my delayed response to your question! The square footage only includes the heated/cooled living spaces and not the porches or garage. In case you need it, the garage square footage is 870 and the screen porch is 249.

We are currently building the Travis Plan in WV.
It should be done end of July. We have made lots of modifications. Some of the mods.
Sun room in place of screen porch.
Window instead of door in utility room.
      Door entry through garage.
The whole 2nd floor finished off of bonus room. To include Bedroom , bathroom, game/craft room, media room.
It is unbelievable the amount of space this plan has on 2nd floor if used correctly.

I like the Travis plan with the side entrance, just wish it wasn’t thru the utility room. Can it be modified to be a side entrance to a hall?

Our Designers can modify this plan to have a hall entrance, and will offer suggestions on what other changes might be needed to make it work. Start by submitting a brief modification consultation form online, and our designers will review the plans and contact you with an estimate. Our designers work one-on-one with you until the new plan is just the way you want it! Here’s a link to more information about the process, and from there you can fill out your request online: http://www.dongardner.com/modify.aspx

This is currently our top pick to start building hopefully within the next few months. Also considering the other plan that is basically a smaller version of The Travis but, I still do not see it listed yet, any idea when it will be available? Also are there any interior photos available yet?

We haven’t received any photos of the Travis plan yet, but we do have photos of a similar plan, The Birchwood #1239, on our website here.

I like the layout of this plan. However, I would prefer exterior to be brick and I don’t like the skylights or sun tunnels.

Thank you for your feedback, Queenie!
The exterior can be modified to be brick or partially brick if desired, and a builder can simply omit the skylights and sun tunnels during the build. I hope this info is helpful!
