Conceptual House Plan 1472

Leave us your feedback and suggestions at the bottom of this post!
Conceptual Design 1472 is an updated version of The Pennyhill house plan 294. The rustic exterior is wrapped in cedar shakes and multiple gables are accented by decorative wooden brackets. The two-car garage angles out for easy entry and is topped with a metal-accent roof, as is the front porch. The great room features a coffered ceiling, fireplace, built-in shelves and French doors that open to a rear porch. An island centers the kitchen and offers additional seating for casual meals. The dining room enjoys rear views through a bay window. The master suite is privately angled and features a stunning bathroom with a dual sink vanity, walk-in shower and soaking bathtub. The over-sized closet offers built-in drawers for easy organization. A second master/guest suite is available on the opposite side and makes a perfect in-law suite or rental room. Additionally, a spacious office features French doors and a storage closet. The garage can be accessed from a rear-entry door and provides two storage closets. Just inside, a drop zone and closet are available for coats, bags, keys, and shoes and the utility room and pantry are nearby, along with a powder room. A small porch is only steps away to access the backyard.

Two large bedrooms are upstairs with a full bathroom that features a double sink vanity and a private toilet room. A second staircase accesses an over-sized bonus room for extra storage or future expansion.

Why not move the refrigerator over to where the oven is and then you can access the pantry from inside the kitchen? There appears to be plenty of room for the oven to still be on the same wall.

Hi Candice, Design 1472 is derived from The Pennyhill Plan 294. The Leslie Plan 1477 is also a Design in Progress that will be released this year. Either of the plans can be modified to incorporate any of the features that you prefer from Design 1472. I love this floorplan! When will it be available? Can the exterior be done in brick & stone? Thanks, Sherry

I live in the original Pennyhill, which I love with the exception of the wasted space at the garage entry, the hallway laundry and no true utility space. I see that all that has been upgraded on this new plan, with better utilization of that space. I love the dining incorporated into the kitchen and the larger kitchen island. I plan to alter my home to create a laundry room and rid it of the half bath, thought about eliminating the door into the dinning room from the kitchen, as the new plan reflects. Would love to see the finished plan and a newly constructed home, hope that will be posted soon.

I love this plan and can't wait for the finished product. The only suggestion I have is to make the closets of the second floor bedrooms the same size. That way, there would be no fighting over who gets the room with the bigger closet.
