Conceptual Home Plan 1442

Leave us your feedback and suggestions at the bottom of this post!

Conceptual home plan 1442 is an update to The Trotterville 984. The charming exterior remains, with a center gable accented with a sloping roof-line, a front facing dormer, and a column lined, wrap-around front porch.

This floor plan has been modernized with a single dining space freeing up square footage for a first floor study/bedroom. The spacious great room, with built-ins and a fireplace enjoys rear views and french doors opening to a porch and patio. The kitchen centers around the cook-top island and with a door to access the side-porch, one could easily create a small potted garden of herbs and vegetables for fresh cooking.

The master suite enjoys a tray ceiling and french doors opening to the rear porch. A double sink vanity, soaking tub, and walk-in shower are luxury features in the master bathroom and a spacious walk-in closet is divided for couples.

The garage is positioned to the rear, for side-entry or rear-entry lots. Unloading groceries is made easy with a pantry located just inside the garage entry. The utility room enjoys a sink, counter and storage space, as well as access to the side porch.

An upstairs balcony overlooks the great room and foyer below. Three bedrooms share a bathroom with double sinks and a private entry to the bathtub.

There are so many of your plans that love but wish more of your plans included the utility room/laundry room closer to the master bedroom. If you are older, as I am, you appreciate the nearness of laundry room in not traveling through a kitchen, dining, or great room to get your dirty/clean clothes back to where they belong. I feel they should always be located near the master bedroom, or at least in close proximity to same. Thank you and keep drawing beautiful homes!!! Also, would love to see more down-sized homes!

I’ve always loved the original Trotterville plan, but wanted a larger version of it. Conceptual home plan 1442 looks promising! I plan to build a home in the next year or so.
