Home Design 1445 is an update to one of our most popular hillside walkout design, The Silvergate 1254-D. This design features a hip-roof with gable accents that slope slightly and are adorned with wooden brackets. The angled garage creates a courtyard entry and has arched openings over the garage doors. The garage is topped with a gable accent over one bay and a sloping shed dormer over the other.

The front door is framed in side-lights and just inside the foyer is a coat closet. French doors open to a bedroom/study with a coffered ceiling and access to a full bathroom. The great room also enjoys a coffered ceiling, fireplace, and two doorways to the rear porch with skylights. The kitchen is arranged with a wall of cabinets, center island, and a L-shaped counter top with range overlooking the great room. A walk-in pantry is nearby as well as a utility room with built-in cabinetry and a sink. Enjoy meals in the spacious dining room with bay window for scenic views and then relax outdoors year-round with a screened porch with fireplace.

Tray ceilings in the master suite bedroom and bathroom are sophisticated additions. Bay windows enhance views from the bedroom and couples will enjoy dual closets and a double bowl vanity.

An open-rail staircase leads to the basement with a recreation/family room for entertaining or relaxing. Two bedrooms each have their own private bath and walk-in closet. A porch and patio continue living outdoors.

The bonus room is filled with sunlight from bays and dormers on three sides. This space is perfect for a guest suite, craft room, or home gym.

How soon will this plan be released? I have my lot and need a plan now. This plan checks off a lot of boxes. I plan to build in the Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards.

Like the layout of the main floor plan but would like to see about 2 br’s up and a den/study area with the bonus being an additional br with a private bath ?

This is a very stylish house and I like the open floor plan a lot. The rooms seem sized well and the square footage could go up easily with the basement area finished. Larry Mills, Monroe, NC

    Hi!
This is a really cool plan.
We like the Sandy Creek Plan. I am curious as to if it would be possible have the hip roof and front elevation of this plan with the floor plan of the Sandy Creek? Thanks!

Looking at all of the plans on your site ( and I have looked at a LOT!). To me, they all look the same on the floor plan. I would like to see laundry rooms near the master bedroom, huge master closets, walk in showers, and large walk in pantries. We have built two homes and my next one will have all those features along with a drop zone and a screened in porch with a fireplace.

Move the Master Bedroom back to where it is basically parallel to Dining Room. Use extra space to add space to Master Bath. Ideally. a separate water closet, longer sink area for knee space, and larger closets. Possibly add a foot to MBR. Make Study/BR into formal DR. Move stairway at garage into garage area and use that space for a pocket office or nook with a desk. Great plan!!!

We’ve loved the Silvergate – which we would like to build, but wanted more space in the dining area, kitchen – especially having a pantry, great room, and screened in porch – which this accomplishes. We also like the additional space in the lower level bedrooms and Rec room, but would like to stick with one bath room on the lower level. We like the hip roof, but are not so sure about the bump out of one garage bay with the complicated lines, including the shed dormer on the garage or the sloping lines of the gables. Seems fussy. Don’t like the window into the master shower. We’d love to see the rear elevation.

love the hip roof. with all the plans that are off shutes of the silvergate its nice to see one of them with a hip roof. wish the master was at least a 14×17 so a king size bed room suit would fit more easily in there. dont like the window in the master shower.

love the hip roof. the see through in the kitchen is nice but i would rather have more upper cabinets in this kitchen. dont really like the window in the master bath shower but that could easily be changed. i have built the whitestone plan and was thinking of down sizing to the silvergate but now that i have seen this one i may wait for this plan because i like the hip roof so much.
