  1. I love this plan, but would like the living room & secondary bedrms. to be bigger. Do you have a similar plan with more sq. footage? Closer to 1800?

  2. Are there two different plans, 1630 sq ft and 1550 sq ft? Also, can the great room be altered from cathedral to vaulted ceiling?
    Great plan!

    1. Hi Carol, the square footage was updated for this plan from 1555 sq ft. to 1613 sq ft. The square footage may continue to change as the details are finalized. And yes, you can change the ceiling style through modifications or with a local professional.

  3. I LOVE a lot of DG plans, but… I would really like to see a few plans that do not place the dining room at the front door. This design has gotten very repetitive and I would love to see something more creative and not so “ordinary.” It seems like most plans either have the dining room at the front door or in a wide open living area. ..
I probably need a custom build?

    1. Hi Rachel, that you for the feedback! I would be happy to pass this idea along to our design team for future planning. I’m sure you’re not the only one looking for something like this! Our customer service team would also be happy to assist you with a plan search. Let them know your other criteria in addition to the location of the dining room and they can send you a selection to look through. You can contact them via email at info@dongardner.com or call and talk with someone at 1-800-388-7580. We can also modify any home plan to meet your specific needs!

  4. Like the plan; looks like master bath could easily be made handicapped accessible. Like the formal dining space. I would want a walk-out basement option since I live in PA, where it is hilly & the frost line is 3-4 ft down. Triple window in the bonus room dormer is fantastic. How wide are the doorways? Could the whole 1sr floor be HA? Is the front porch at least 8′ wide? l would want to have a conversation-conductive furniture grouping on the front porch.

    1. Hi Sara, thank you! This design will be offered with an optional basement foundation after it is finalized. This will be a fully underground basement but you can modify to a walkout, if needed. Our standard doorways are 2’8″ and you can also request wider doorways through our modification process. Our designers would be happy to work with you to make sure all the rooms on the first floor are handicap accessible. The front porch is approximately 11’4″ x 4’8″. Please let us know if you have further questions – 1-800-388-7580 or info@dongardner.com.

  5. Love the plan! Would like to see a tub in addition to the wonderful shower in the master. Also, the entry to the master would be great if you entered into a small hall allowing you to either go to the right to the master bedroom or to the left to enter closets and master bath. We currently have the setup thats on this plan, extremely frustrating having to go through master bedroom to get to the closets and bath. Additionally , would like to see the laundry close to the master. Where would the stairs leading to a basement be situated?

    1. Hi Michele, we have not created a basement version of this plan yet, so we haven’t determined where the stairs would be located. We would very likely try to keep them near the bonus stairs, though.

  6. Unbelievable use of 1500 ft,perfect for an empty nester yet still has room for kids and guests! Can a breakfast area be added to the rear of the kitchen ,if so I’ll buy it ASAP! I really didn’t want to go much over 1500 ft and this plan is perfect!

    1. Hi Gary, this design is in the conceptual phase so we do not have engineered plans at this time. If you are interested in this design with modifications, I would recommend contacting our customer service team to get a quote on when the design could be completed, if purchased. 1-800-388-7580.
