Charleston Style Exterior - Conceptual Design #1361

Conceptual Design #1361 has a Charleston style exterior with two levels of porches lined with columns. This design is narrow with a rear-entry garage on the basement level, ideal for Traditional Neighborhood Developments.

Lower Level - Conceptual Design #1361The two-story great room is open to the curved balcony above, and is set apart from the dining room by a trio of columns and built-in shelves framing the dining room window. The kitchen is surrounded by casual living spaces: An intimate keeping room with a fireplace, window seats, and cathedral ceiling, and a breakfast room with open e-space. A home elevator runs between the main floor and the lower level, making it a breeze to carry in groceries. The master bedroom has dual walk-in closets and a private porch/balcony at the rear of the home.

Main Floor - Conceptual Design #1361Two bedrooms upstairs enjoy access to the loft, covered porch, and massive bonus room.

Splendid! The floorplan includes just about anything one could ask for in a home. The layout flows wonderfully and looks like it would be great for families with kids or just a single couple. First floor master is ideal for a “forever” home and the master closet layout is fantastic (I’ve never really liked walking through the closet corridor to get to the master bath). The 2-story great room looks to be very inviting and should open the narrow space up quite nicely. What do you do for a ceiling treatment there by the way? I would look for coffered ceilings in the keeping room and/or dining room.

Personally, I think it is marvelous and would build it right away if I could find a way to make the garage/basement/walkout work around here.
