I just read the article linked in the blog post above, and it was interesting to see that other baby-boomers besides myself are requesting floorplans with elevators. I love two-story homes but my 50+ year-old joints don’t. So my husband and I have been narrowing down the options for the house we plan to build in the foothills of SD next year, and our favorite right now is Don Gardner’s Dogwood Ridge. It not only has breathtaking views, but more importantly to us, it has an elevator! We’ve looked at how we could fit one into other plans without a lot of modifications, but it’s not an easy trick.
